2011 Château Certan de May, Pomerol

A plush and inviting nose gives some sense of the ripeness and intensity to follow. The perfectly proportioned palate shows generous notes of ripe black cherries, a little mocha lies in the background. Substantial, but fine grained tannins provide structure, whilst elegance is retained by a vein of fresh acidity. Notes of exotic spice and toasty oak round off the sumptuous finish.
