2006 Château La Mission Haut-Brion, Cru Classé Pessac-Léognan

Fragrant, ripe, black fruit nose with mineral notes and hints of mocha sweeping through on the mid palate. Positive and vibrant with cheekcoating tannins balanced by a suave elegance and purity. This has a long and distinctive finish. There is 10% less Merlot in 2006 La Mission than in 2005, with a correspondingly higher proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon. Certain to be snapped up soon after release.
