Eduardo Acosta
Originating from the Spanish island of Tenerife, Eduardo Acosta travelled to Sicily following his wine studies and worked with both Arianna Occhipinti and the Passopisciaro winery before starting his own project. 2014 was Eduardo’s first vintage from vineyards he had leased from the northern slopes of Etna, however as he made the wine in Arianna’s winery he could only legally label the wine IGT Terre Siciliane. Having found a building to make the wine for the 2018 vintage in Etna, he has decided to keep the wine as IGT rather than changing to Etna DOC.
