Wine is produced in all fifty states of the USA (that’s right, even Alaska), but for our purposes the West Coast states of California and Oregon are key. Oregon is best known for its Pinot Noir, whilst California produces such a plethora of different wines that it is almost impossible to sum up in a few short lines. With such diversity of grapes and styles, it is a region that deserves considerable exploration and discovery.
