Western Australian Wine
Over 2,000km from Adelaide as the Kookaburra flies is Margaret River in Western Australia, Australia’s most remote wine region. For comparison, that’s about the same distance as London to Kiev. Margaret River, with its temperate climate warmed by the Indian Ocean that, roughly speaking, reflects Bordeaux in a dry vintage, produces world-class red blends from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. In recent years, this stunningly beautiful region has also seen the emergence of some excellent Chardonnays.
