This is a charming GPL that combines the freshness and vibrancy of the vintage with the fingerprint gravelly core of the estate. There are aromas of cedar, violets and graphite on the nose with vibrant and detailed dark cherry fruit on the palate. It is supple and mid-weight with fine-grained tannins with a lift of spice on the finish.

2024 Château l'Evangile, Pomerol Dry | Red | Still

An elegant and detailed Evangile this year, the Cabernet Franc in the blend speaks through. There are aromas of violet, kelp, dark cherry fruit and wild herbs with a subtle oak spice. This is fleshy through the mid-palate with freshness and salinity at its core. The finish is refreshing and harmonious with a sense of class.

2024 Château Canon, St-Emilion Dry | Red | Still

A wine of really beguiling aromatics it offers notes of violets, lavender, cherry blossom, iris, and hints of dark cherry fruits. It almost belies the vintage with a real sense of completeness and elegance. Transparent and pure, this is seamless but so mineral and focused. There's intensity and silkiness with a tension that runs from start to finish.

Young: 2028 - 2052
2024 Château L'If, Saint-Emilion Dry | Red | Still

This is the second vintage to be made in the new winery. This is a bright and focused l'If offering aromas of violets, peony, oyster shell and crushed rocks. There is a tension through the palate with sinewy and fine-boned tannin that frames the dark cherry fruit. The finish is expressive, fresh with accents of wild herbs.

2024 Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, Pauillac Dry | Red | Still

A blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc, the Grand Vin from this estate represents 52% of the production. It is a gravelly, tightly coiled, sinewy and sculpted style with a fine mineral core with notes of kelp, graphite, and black tea. There are accents of incense and Five Spice with a floral lift of violets too. The tannins form a lattice around the dark cherry fruit with a real sense of direction through the palate.

Young: 2028 - 2052
2024 Château Ducru-Beaucaillou, St-Julien Dry | Red | Still

There is a fine, spiced quality that leads on the nose giving aromas of incense, Five Spice and sandalwood which speaks of the 100% new wood used for ageing. There is a sinewy and slightly brooding quality to the wine. It will be a classic, rather sleek style with a brightness and tension. Flavours of wild herbs, liqourice and dark cherry fruit flood the palate with carefully sculpted tannins and a note of iodine and kelp on the finish.

Young: 2028 - 2053
2024 Pavillon Rouge du Château Margaux, Margaux Dry | Red | Still

2024 Pavillon Blanc du Château Margaux, Margaux Dry | White | Still

This is an impressive white this year, and one of the best of the vintage. It offers notes of lemon balm, ginger, verbena, and ocean spray. Bitter lemon and white grapefruit pith add complexity on the palate and there is some sweet barley lemon notes too. Tense and really driven, this has a lot of salinity and cool feel to it. Very crystalline for the moment, this will age effortlessly.

Ready: 2027 - 2044
2024 Château Margaux, Margaux Dry | Red | Still

The 2024 Château Margaux is a blend of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot. It opens with a very fine, almost aristocratic, spiced nose of incense and Five Spice - it is assertive and expressive. The texture on the palate is caressing yet there is tension and focus – a classical and sinewy frame, with a strong mineral core. The Grand Vin represents 46% of total production. There is a sanguine and ferrous note that comes through with accents of liquorice and kelp. It is a wine without excess that seems to really transport terroir.
