2022 Côte-Rôtie, Domaine Graeme & Julie Bott Dry | Red | Still | 13%

This Côte-Rôtie comes from various parcels across the appellation. Vinified with around 30% whole bunch and aged in Burgundy barrels for 20 months with 5-10% new oak, this is a charming and fleshy style. It is floral and elegant with notes of violets, iris and dark cherry with a subtle wild herb spice. There is plenty of drama to this wine with a seamless and supple feel to the tannins, and a subtle, peppery bramble finish.

Ready: 2025 - 2037
2021 Sisters Vineyard Pinot Noir, The Eyrie Vineyards Dry | Red | Still | 13.5%

Named 'Sisters' for the three different types of Pinot planted in this vineyard, it is a four acre sited that was planted to Pinot Noir in 1987 using Pommard and Wadenswil clones. It is always one of the more floral and earthy wines in the line up. This a Pinot with real elegance opening with notes of bay leaf, wild berries, blood orange, and rosehip. There is a savoury almost ferrous quality to the wine, with a fine lattice of tannins. The finish is fresh with a delicate spiced note and citrus lift.

Ready: 2025 - 2036
2021 The Eyrie Pinot Noir, The Eyrie Vineyards, Willamette Valley, Oregon Dry | Red | Still | 13%

This is the original vineyard of the estate some vines dating back to 1965 - it is truly the home of Oregon Pinot Noir. The hills are exposed south and roll from east to west. This is a really expressive wine from the Eyrie range with vivid aromas of wild strawberry, aniseed, and fresh herbs. There is a silkiness to the texture of the tannins and a bright seam of freshness running through the wine. It is both light-footed yet with a seriousness and intensity that speaks of the old vines here.

Ready: 2025 - 2036
2021 Roland Green Pinot Noir, The Eyrie Vineyards, Willamette Valley, Oregon Dry | Red | Still | 13.5%

This vineyard is named after David Lett's father and planted in 1988 with Pommard and Wadenswil clones. It is a directly south facing site that gives the resulting wines a silky texture with great depth and finesse. There are flavours of blue fruits, lavender, violets and liqourice root, which flow across the palate. There is a subtle white pepper spice here that accents the hedgerow fruit with a energy that runs through the long, refreshing finish.

2021 Pinot Noir Estate, The Eyrie Vineyards, Willamette Valley, Oregon Dry | White | Still | 13%

A gorgeous, classical wine from Eyrie – a real benchmark for Oregon and for top quality Pinot. It is understated in its elegance opening with aromas of bay, wild herbs, hedgerow berries and flickers of peppercorn spice. While there is a real sense of harmony here, there is a vibrancy and energy that runs through the wine. Some brightness of rosehip and liquorice root on the finish, it is beautifully expressive and enjoyable.

Ready: 2025 - 2034
2021 Barolo, Brovia, Piedmont Dry | Red | Still | 14.5%

The classic Barolo from Brovia is made with a significant portion of Serralunga fruit. Only a barrel of the Cru wines are made and so what ever is left is declassified into the regular Barolo - all the better for this wine! It is so fine and elegant openning with bright cherry fruit, cherry blossom, wilted roses and accents of blood orange and pink grapefruit. It finds the perfect balance between power and energy. There is a seriousness at its core with a mineral, saline freshness with a fine grained, supple frame of tannins. A real standout in 2021.

Ready: 2025 - 2045
2021 Barolo Brea Vigna Ca' Mia, Brovia, Piedmont Dry | Red | Still | 14.5%

These are old vines, around 70 years old that are exposed south/south-east on the mid to upper slope with a higher portion of limestone. This gives more dark cherry fruit with ferrous and sanguine quality. A lot of detail here that emerges with air, the tannins are firm yet seamless around the fruit. There are hints of white pepper, aniseed and black tea that linger on the finish. A wine of real intensity, this will need some time to show its true colours.

Young: 2028 - 2051
2021 Barolo, Rocche di Castiglione, Brovia, Piedmont Dry | Red | Still | 14.5%

From very steep, sandy soils which are exposed south east, the wine was bottled in July 2024. There is power but without weight, there are notes of spearmint, crushed stone, violets and liquorice. The tannins are compact and detailed, and cut a structure so finely around the bright cherry fruit. A wine that has depth and freshness.

Young: 2028 - 2051
2021 Barolo Villero, Brovia, Piedmont Dry | Red | Still | 14.5%

The vines for Brovia's Villera are south-west exposed and located on the mid-slope. The soil is more compact with a greater portion of clay. The wine is very expressive offering notes of wild strawberry, rose petal and wet rocks. There is a certain muscularity on the palate, the tannins are firm and well defined with a great sense of tension and drama. It is extremely impressive and one of the most exciting of the Crus from Brovia this year.
