Made in tiny quantities, this Trebbiano from Abruzzo has acquired a cult following amongst those “in the know” for its incredible ability to age, gaining a depth and weight comparable with good white Burgundy. At this stage, it is restrained, with notes of apricot and peach kernel and almond oil on the nose. On the palate, these soft white-fruit notes are melded with smoky mineral, forming a mouth-coating, dense and softly rounded impression, balanced by a subtle saline acidity.
