2004 Brunello di Montalcino, La Rasina, Tuscany
Marco Mantengoli makes modern Brunello and it is very good value. Deeply coloured it has hints of dark fruits, sweet oak and a slight tar/licorice note to its nose. This has considerable volume on the palate, plush and rich. No shortage of ripe fruit here. Silky tannins and along fine finish. 2004 is agreat vintage for La Rasina and this will drink well relatively young
