2010 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières, Philippe Chavy

Exotic on the nose, with notes of peach and mouthwatering citrus that are matched on the palate. Beautifully balanced, with a creamy mouthfeel, ripe, soft honeyed-lemon and greengage characters and a gently smoky minerality. Long on the finish. This is surprisingly approachable at this stage, but nevertheless shows great potential for ageing.
