This domaine produces a wonderful expression of this great vineyard which looks like better and better value when compared to Grand Cru sites further south. With a slightly wild character on the nose including notes of smoked meat, pepper and violets the palate is overflowing with wild berries and blue slate. Very serious wine which will need plenty of bottle age, David opened a bottle of 2001 during our visit which was beginning to drink.
