2006 Rosso di Montepulciano Dogana, Palazzo Vecchio
Palazzo Vecchio have established themselves at the forefront of the best producers in Montepulciano. Situated in the northeast of the zone, the climate is cooler due to the higher altitude. The 2006 Rosso di Montepulciano has a deep ruby colour and a candied fruit nose. Well-balanced, with ripe fruit, tobacco and spice elements, backed up with well-integrated tannins. This is a wine of surprising volume for a simple Rosso, and the hallmarks of the great 2006 vintage are much in evidence.
