1998 Pinot Gris Altenbourg Sélection de Grains Nobles, Albert Mann
Deep amber gold in the glass, with almost tropical scents of apricot and peach. On the palate, rich, full and intensely sweet, with concentrated raisined fruit and citrus peel notes. A zesty acidity balances the unctuous sweetness, and there is a subtle mineral edge that prevents unwelcome cloying characteristics.
