1997 Glenmorangie Grand Vintage Malt, Highland
Matured in 85% ex-Bourbon casks and 15% in barrels previously used at Chateau Montrose, this has plenty of red fruit, jam, some dark berries, and plenty of ripe peach and apricot. There’s a real toasty, toffee apple quality too, with creme caramel as the palate carries on. There are light jasmine floral notes and it does have a slight vinous quality.
