Tasted April 2023. This is a great showing for an ambitious estate in Pauillac, that's undergone significant investment, and is owned by the same proprietors of Château Meyney in St-Estèphe. This vintage at Grand-Puy-Ducasse is fresh on the nose, with spicy, savoury aromas around a core of pure, fresh blackberry and blackcurrant fruit. Good concentration, but refreshing and gourmand in style. There's also good balance with the more savoury style of the tannins, mineral graphite quality and well proportioned freshness. The finish builds and is clean, long, with balanced black fruit freshness and mineral hints.
