2011 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Grande Montagne, Domaine Paul Pillot
Initially more closed on the nose than some of the others, but opening out with time to show attractive orchard fruit and subtle florality. Intense and attractive on the palate, with rounded ripe fruit characters melding with subtle creamy oak. Wet stone and savoury peach kernel notes give this a long and complex finish.
