Lay & Wheeler Members' Tasting, Wednesday 11th May at The Ministry, Borough

Expand your wine horizons, with Lay & Wheeler’s old favourites and new discoveries

Would you like to try the wines from South Africa and Savoie, Bordeaux and Burgundy, Switzerland and Barossa all in one place? If yes, then join us at a tasting of old favourites and new discoveries, at The Ministry SE1 on Wednesday 11 May at 5.30pm.

It will be an eclectic mix of wines. But we know that variety is the spice of life: especially when wine is concerned.

So we’ll be pouring classic favourites, like Chardonnay from the Maconnais, and brilliant drinking Claret, alongside lesser known gems Aglianico from the south of Italy, and a white Treixadura (don’t ask us how to pronounce that) from the North-West of Spain.

There will even be wines from Greece, as well as a bubbly from Prosecco that was deemed so atypical by the Consorzio, that it can’t be called Prosecco.

And all the wines will be available to order on the night, and are ready for delivery. So you can enjoy anything that tickles your fancy, all summer long.

This is the first time we’ve gathered in over two years, and we’d love to raise a glass (or two) together. But tickets are limited, so please do register your interest as early as possible.

We hope to see you there.

Other information

To save you the trouble of printing out a ticket, we’ll have a guestlist at the door.

If you purchase more than one ticket, please share the name(s) of your guest(s) with [email protected] so that we know to expect them. Members are encouraged to bring guests who may consider membership themselves. We thank both parties with £50 of credit each, once the new member has celebrated his or her one month anniversary.

In the event you can no longer make it, we'll do our very best to credit your ticket towards future wines. We simply ask you give us as much notice as possible.

It may, on rare occasions, be necessary to substitute any of the wines advertised for one of a similar or better quality.
