Azienda Agraria Lisini
Lisini are one of Montalcino’s most historic, and most traditional estates. They can trace their lineage
back to the Clementi family, who fought alongside the Medicis in their conquest of Montalcino
in 1559. In return they received land, and purchased an estate in Sant’Angelo in Colle, that forms
the basis of the estate today. It was Elina, who ran the estate from 1950 until her death in 2009,
who really put it on the map, and Lisini was even a founder member of the Consorzio di Brunello in
1963. As you’d expect from such a historic estate, the wines here are traditional, and are a pure and
ageworthy expression of the Sangiovese grape
