Made from a single vineyard, from vines with an average age of 80 years, Niepoort Bioma is a truly extraordinary port. It has a beautiful, opaque purple colour. The nose is relatively restrained at present, but offers up suggestions of what is to come. Rich cassis, coffee and chocolate, with subtle spice. The palate shows fantastic freshness and purity, with rich fruit, unbelievable power and the most finely grained tannins imaginable, encapsulating all the qualities of this very special vintage.
