Frux Frugis Mixed Case (2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2010), Ulithorne, McLaren Vale

Frux Frugis Mixed Case (2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2010), Ulithorne, McLaren Vale

A vineyard initially planted in order to convince the Australian authorities to approve a piggery, Frux Frugis, Latin for ‘fruit of the earth’, was taken over by Sam Harrison & Rose Kentish in 1997. Now considered one of the finest vineyards in McLaren Vale, the wine is produced from the first pick in any given vintage. The rest of the fruit is sold to Penfolds and Wirra Wirra, and goes into the very top wines of these prestigious producers, including the legendary Penfolds Grange. With a mixed case of six back vintages, all of which received 93 or 94 points from Aussie wine expert James Halliday, this represents a fantastic chance to try premium McLaren Vale Shiraz at outrageously reasonable prices.

The wine will come in mixed cases comprising one bottle each of 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2010.
