The 2018 Don Melchor comes from a single vineyard in Puente Alto, in Chile’s Maipo Valley. The nose is deep and intense, with notes of red liquorice, lavender, and freshly picked mint. There’s a rich core of deep Cabernet fruit on the palate, which is punctuated by lively acidity. This is a beautifully balanced wine, showing Bordelais knowhow and Chilean terroir. A new standard for the estate.
