The 2016 Nicolas Catena Zapata is the product of a cool growing season, and this shows remarkable finesse and purity. Notes of blackcurrant and blue fruit on the nose, with wild violets and plenty of spice. The palate is structured yet fresh, and the mineral finish lasts an age. Bravo.
