2018 Cinsault 'Geronimo', Lukas van Loggerenberg

2018 Cinsault 'Geronimo', Lukas van Loggerenberg

Delicate and pure, with notes of violets and plenty of fresh blue fruit. Silky acidity and such a nice wash of tannins, leading to a saline, moreish finish.

Tasting notes

Close your eyes and you could almost be tasting a Nerello Mascalese here, such is the savoury, stony grip of this complex Cinsault from close to False Bay in Faure. Low in alcohol and fermented with 100% whole bunches, it has red cherry, earth and tobacco notes and saline acidity.
