Wild and energetic, and amazing purity and weight on the palate. Bright and luminous, mouth watering finish. Lovely floral character, and a nice energy. Give it 5-10 years before opening. Dark fruit, this is from the trellised vineyards at the Mullineux’s farm.

The Schist Syrah is sourced from the extensive Roundstone property and, like its stablemates Granite and Iron, is fermented with whole bunches and aged in one third-new oak. Rich, savoury and concentrated, but with considerable underlying finesse, rose petal notes and refreshing, palate-cleansing acidity.
