The 2016 Epilogue from Boschkloof is a wonderful expression of Syrah. The nose is silky and fine, with fresh violets, cherries, tapenade and sea spray jumping for the glass. The palate is remarkable, with beautiful lift and silky tannins, and a powerful core of fruit. It somehow manages to have huge volume in the mouth, but with a sense of weightlessness. A simply stunning wine.
