2016 Kweekkamp Chardonnay, Mont Blois, Robertson

2016 Kweekkamp Chardonnay, Mont Blois, Robertson

From the warmer region of Robertson, this is a beautiful Chardonnay, with tons of texture and a very bright finish. Richer in style than some, it remains fresh and very impressive.

Tasting notes

The quality of the wines from this Robertson estate has been on a steep upward curve since Cape Wine Master Nina-Mari Bruwer joined her husband Ernst on the farm. This is the best Chardonnay yet from the couple and now ranks among the leading examples of the grape in South Africa. Refined, leesy, textured and showing the freshness and precision of its limestone soils, it's a very classy white.
