2012 Isliedh Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon, Cape Point Vineyards
This is a glorious Bordeaux-style Sauvignon, which benefits from a little Semillon to give it additional weight and depth. Elegant grassy aromas combine with green apple, lime and a hint of saltiness. The palate is rich and spicy, where the new oak provides a firm structure and toasty complexity. The wine has recently won Decanter’s International Trophy for Best White Blend over £15. Definitely one to watch.
