2010 Demuth Chardonnay, Knez Winery, Anderson Valley
In only its second year of production, this is a ‘natural yeasts, subtle use of oak’ number, and has benefitted from 2010’s perfect, cool growing season prompting the wine’s superb elegance and balance. Astonishing complexity on the nose with cool pear and apricot fruit underlying subtle toast and sweet-spice aromas. What captivates us most is the silky, honey-laden texture and the perfectly balanced finish. Stunning!
