2009 Sonoma Coast Syrah, Ramey
Fragrant with pure damson and black cherry fruit and just a hint of smoke and autumnal spice. The palate is finely-tuned, with silky-textured tannins and a vein of fine mineral acidity providing the structure to a pure, ripe black berry fruit core. Refined and elegant, this is an exceptionally classy Syrah, given an attractive and delicate floral finish through a proportion of Viognier that is fermented alongside the Syrah, in traditional Côte-Rôtie fashion.
