The 2018 Chardonnay from Dog Point is a real stunner. Restrained and slightly reductive, with notes of struck match and smoke alongside lovely ripe fruit, the palate has texture and tension, and a long finish of oyster shell and plenty of purity. It’s a brilliant wine for the price - a top Kiwi pick.
