2014 Sun and Moon Pinot Noir, Seresin Estate, Marlborough

2014 Sun and Moon Pinot Noir, Seresin Estate, Marlborough

An elegant nose of pot pourri, crushed stones, cardamom and cinnamon, with ripe berry fruit and wild strawberries leads onto a palate with loads of tension and vibrancy. There's texture here, and finesse on the finish. A lesson in balance, this is hauntingly beautiful: a Pinot Noir from the top drawer.

Tasting notes

Pale ruby. Not that much aroma at the moment. Lightly floral. Really quite lively and lifted on the palate. Reverberates. This really is superior! Obvious richness on the palate though no heaviness at all. Presumably the nose will develop over the next few months. Quite long.
