2016 Bin 28 Kalimna Shiraz, Penfolds, South Australia

2016 Bin 28 Kalimna Shiraz, Penfolds, South Australia

In 2016 the Bin 28 is very classic, with brambles and plums and slightly dried fruit character. With fine tannins and serious texture, there’s juicy acidity and and excellent intensity and power. I like the depth here: it’s very classic and spicy, and black pepper completes the picture. A brilliant Shiraz.

Tasting notes

The full-bodied 2016 Bin 28 Kalimna Shiraz is a blend of fruit from Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Padthaway, Upper Adelaide and Wrattonbully. It's a warm-climate, rich, plush Shiraz, with a velvety mouthfeel and lingering savory notes on the finish.
