2019 Rapsani Old Vines, Dougos Winery, Greece
Expect morello cherries, wild berries and cinnamon spice as well as garrigue and smoky notes that add layers of complexity and interest. Tannins are firm yet well integrated and well handled and there is a subtle sweet spice on the finish from the oak ageing. The zesty acidity really lifts the wine’s palate and energy. This wine is really exciting and shows the quality that Xinomavro in particular can achieve.
