Pelaverga is one of Italy’s forgotten black grapes, and it’s only grown on the hillside that surrounds Verduno. It’s fresh and lifted, with notes of wild herbs and plenty of very crunchy berry fruit. A curiosity, but also delicious, it finishes peppery and very fresh.
