Valter is rightly proud of this unique wine. We were too slow last year so didn’t get an allocation, and in 2013 only 4,000 bottles were made from this ancient vineyard still on original rootstock. This is quite a high site in la Morra, producing savoury, sappy, tarry wines of immense concentration and layers of fruit which age gracefully. This is a product that has a place in the cellar of any Piedmont fan.
