Made from 100% Sangiovese, this has ripe, black cherry notes on the nose and hints of mocha and spice. The palate is rounded, with sweet-ripe fruit to the fore, framed by surprisingly dense, soft tannins. Very rich, very dark and very smooth, but with a mouth-watering and appealing freshness that adds lift and brightness to the finish. Very good indeed.
