Vignolo is often more approachable, and that follows in the 2008 vintage. Aromatically, it shows beautifully with notes of orange, lavender, leather and sweet black fruit. The palate flows with a round, rich centre and great length. There is plenty of grip, however, and I would expect this to shut down in the bottle for a few years.
