Lying north east of the town, the Ovello vineyard has a south-south-west exposure and Renato’s vines are 17 years old. The nose is aromatic, which notes of sun-warmed blueberries, loganberries and cherries. This fruit continues on the palate, with an added balsamic characteristic and herbal note. Despite the abundance of flavours, this elegant wine shows restraint, with silky tannins and a freshening acidity.
