The last release of this was the 1996: this 2006 is a more modern style (still within Luca's parameters of modern!). It is now 15 years old, and has seen 6.5 years of aging in wood. There's a liquorice character, and such purity here. It's amazing to think that's it's so old: there's still a youthful energy here. At this stage, decant and ponder: a remarkable wine.
