2005 Barolo Riserva Bricco Boschis Vigna San Giuseppe, Cavallotto, Piedmont

2005 Barolo Riserva Bricco Boschis Vigna San Giuseppe, Cavallotto, Piedmont

2005 was a great vintage for Cavalotto, the wines don’t quite have the mouth puckering structure of 2004 or 2006, but this 40-50 year old parcel of vines produces one of the most thrilling wines in Barolo. Lifted and elegant, with an almost unique and very complex array of flavours. Keep for 10 years then decant well in advance!
