Fossati adjoins Case Nere at the southern extremity of La Morra and a little bit of Fossati actually strays over the border and into the commune of Barolo. The colour is quite deep and the nose leads with floral notes, spice and hints of raspberry and mulberry. On the palate, the wine has great richness, but texturally it is elegant and the La Morra finesse shines through. This has real depth and concentration and is long and fine, with lovely integrated tannins. This has a lightness of touch and depth of flavour that indicates top class wine making. Outstanding.
