A rich garnet red in the glass, there is a delightful intensity on the nose and the palate is complex with black fruits, spice, tobacco and liquorice. This is a full-bodied wine with firm structure and soft, pliable tannins. With a few more years ageing, this is a wine which is destined to be drunk with good food: braised meats, game and cheeses.
