Made from components of eight different sites, this is the pinnacle of Roland’s production. Beguiling but slightly shy nose, but there’s floral elements, and then lots of spice with star anis and chinese five spice. The palate is so silky, with powdery tannins that grow, and incredible volume and juiciness. On the finish you feel the red fruit, and that breadth of flavour, but this is quite closed: give this time. Incredible length here, comes in waves.
