Standing at the foot of the Prälat one can’t help but feel daunted. Seemingly vertical rows of individually staked vines reach up to the bare rock face, an imposing vineyard which is arguably the Mosel’s best. A mere two barrels are produced of this iconic Riesling, and the growing conditions and word from the winery promise incredible things of the 2013 vintage.
