A lovely ripeness to the fruit on the nose, with lifted citrus notes carrying onto the palate of this Chardonnay led wine. The acidity is certainly considerable, but is wonderfully balanced: this is clearly English fizz but is a hugely impressive example. Winner of a Noble Rot blind tasting against numerous Champagnes, this is a benchmark demonstration of what England is capable of producing.
