A single vineyard Champagne from an impossibly steep site, with remarkable ageing potential. It is taut, reserved, and refined in its youth, with a white pepper, citrus freshness running through the length of the wine. With some more time in bottle this will emerge as a dynamic, complex, and regal example of the extra brut style. The 2011 is a selection of just four plots from within the vineyard, from exclusively Pinot Noir vines (the Chardonnay having been recently uprooted). It has the structure and length to age with grace.
