This comes from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that are planted next to each other in one single parcel. Both varieties are picked at their optimum ripeness and blended and bottle together right after their first fermentation in barrel, for a long and slow élevage. It is an homage to Benoit and Melanie’s great great grandfather - the first in the Tarlant family to bottle sparkling wines. Sweet, toasted hazelnuts on the nose, and a rich, complex and profounding persistent palate. This cuvée is based on a blend of the vibrant, long-lived 2002, and the warm, ripe 2003. The marriage of vintages and varieties is seamless.
