2018 Tauzy Jurançon Sec, Domaine Castera
This is a leading example of Jurançon Sec from one of the finest producers in the region. It is bright gold, and has a rich, almost pungent nose of fresh pineapples and apricots. There is such intense flavour on the palate, and it really sings when paired with food. The luxurious, slightly tropical but vibrantly salty and fresh character of the wine has a satisfying umami quality to it. This is one of the most gourmand wines on our list, and also one of the most fun. Tauzy from Domaine Castera is one of the jewels of South-West France.
