Attractively perfumed on the nose, with notes of cherry, chocolate and mocha. The palate is more refined and restrained. The Mourvèdre-led structure is undoubtedly robust, but the tannins are finely-tuned and very ripe, giving the wine a silky texture. Juicy, ripe hedgerow fruits are to the fore in the mid-palate, alongside more complex notes of coffee and spice. Very long on the finish, this is a wine that certainly promises a great deal.
