Intense but restrained in its varietal expression, this is so much more than a Gewurztraminer. The granitic soils are so well suited to this variety and a third of this large vineyard are planted with it. This Grand Cru often opens up quickly, but if you can keep it for a few years, the complexity it develops will be well worth the short wait.
